De-Stress Fest

May 7-10 | Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, OASIS Lounge

Four days of free games & activities - each with a different theme - are hosted by the OASIS Student Advisory Board.

May 7 | 6 to 8 p.m. - Candle Making & Aroma Therapy

May 8 | 6 to 8 p.m. - Night In Japan: Film screening of SPIRITED AWAY

May 9 | 6 to 8 p.m. - Minute to Win It Tournament

May 10 | 8 to 10 a.m. - Grab & Go Breakfast

Study at Sheldon

May 8 | 3 to 7 p.m. | Sheldon Museum of Art

Sheldon Museum of Art’s Great Hall will be transformed into a great study hall for an afternoon. When you’re ready to take a break from your books, explore the galleries for inspiration and fuel up with free snacks. Admission is free.

A Day of De-Stress at Love Library

May 9 | 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. | Love Library

An all-day 13-hour event. Drop by several times for an ever-changing variety of stress-free activities organized by the Libraries; Center for Academic Success & Transition; First Generation Student Organization; and the UNL Writing Center.

8 to 11:30 a.m. | Room 221 - Enjoy biscuits and gravy, crafts, board games, and bingo.

12 to 1:30 p.m. | Room 221 - Pet a dog and de-stress with certified therapy dog teams at Big Red Pawp Up.

1:30 to 3 p.m. | Room 224 - Play retro video games like LSD: Dream Emulator, Dr. Mario, and more from archive.org. Play solo, with friends, or face off against a pro library staffer. All students are welcome—novice and expert gamers. Freshly popped popcorn will also be served.

2 to 6 p.m. | Room 221 - Enjoy chicken walking tacos while participating in crafts, board games, or bingo.

6 to 9 p.m. | Second Floor Link - The Writing Center is holding the International Write-In. Drop by for 15-minute consultations with a Writing Center consultant or simply work alongside other writers in that space. Snacks, games, and other de-stressing activities will be provided.
