Friday, February 2, 2024 VC Anderson challenges donors to give to Student Affairs for Glow Big Red

Glow Big Red is a 24-hour day of giving to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to raise money for scholarships, colleges, programs, student organizations, inclusion, mental health, and much more. The giving day starts at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 14, and continues through noon on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Dee Dee Anderson, vice chancellor for student affairs, has challenged donors to give to Student Affairs. She has pledged to give $600 if at least 200 donors give to the Student Affairs Development Fund. In addition to VC Anderson’s challenge donation, Mental Health Resources for Students has a challenge donation of $5,000.

Donation Matches & Challenges

In addition to VC Anderson’s challenge, several Student Affairs units have challenges of their own. Many with the opportunity to unlock more donor funds. A complete list of Glow Big Red matches and challenges can be found at glowbigred.unl.edu/matches. Donations must be at least $5 to count toward a match or challenge. 5 donations unlock a $200 donation

Student Care and Well-Being
10 donations unlock a $250 donation

Student Hardship Fund
20 donations unlock a $400 donation

Campus Recreation
30 donations unlock a $500 donation
