UNL's theme for Homecoming 2023 is "Through These Gates: 100 Years of Saturdays in Memorial Stadium."

The annual Homecoming festivities at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are set to be celebrated Oct 23–28, 2023.

Recognized student organizations (RSOs), sororities, fraternities, residence halls, and individual students are encouraged to begin organizing and planning now for the numerous activities and student competitions.

Here are some details and dates to help groups begin to plan. Read further details on ASUN’s Homecoming Competitions website.

Homecoming Parade

  • Sign-up is open now.
  • Sign-up closes 11:59 p.m. Oct. 13.

Student Competition Events

Banner Competiton; Showtime at the Coliseum; Blood Drive; Traditions Race; Cornhole Competition; Food Drive; Jester Competitions

  • Sign-up opens Sept 25.
  • Sign-up closes 4 p.m. Oct. 13.
  • Time slots for Blood Drive donors and volunteers open at 8 a.m. Oct. 16.

General Information Meetings

Three meetings are scheduled to provide details and answer questions for students and groups. Organizations should send at least one representative to each of the meetings.

  • September 26, 2023 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Nebraska Union, Platte River Room
  • South
  • October 3, 2023 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Nebraska East Union, Arbor Suite
  • October 10, 2023 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in Nebraska Union, Platte River Room South. Organizations participating in the parade should plan to stay for the parade meeting at 6 p.m.
