The annual Holidays for Little Huskers event is seeking group and individual donors to help brighten the holidays and provide a little something extra for the children of University of Nebraska – Lincoln students.

The event welcomes Recognized Student Organizations, Greek chapters, departments and friends of the university to purchase items from a child’s wish list and drop off the gifts at the Gender and Sexuality Center. Those interested in sponsoring a child can sign up here through Oct 31, 2023.

Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) staff will contact each donor to coordinate gift-giving, which will include an Amazon wish list sent to donors with the toys or clothing items the child needs or wants. Gifts need to be dropped off between Nov 6 - 21. The GSC is located on the third floor of the Nebraska Union, room 340.

Current UNL student-parents who want their child to participate in Holidays for Little Huskers can sign up and submit a wish list here. A separate Amazon wish list for each child must be created before completing the form.

Last year, 84 children of UNL students received gifts through the program.
