Monday, August 8, 2022 CAPS offers online same-day scheduling

New this fall, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is offering online scheduling for students seeking an initial evaluation appointment. To schedule an appointment, students are encouraged to go online the morning of the same day they’d like to meet with a provider.

The online appointment scheduling is only for students who are new to CAPS.

Monday, July 25, 2022 200+ student volunteers sought for Urban Plunge

The first-year student service event Urban Plunge features opportunities for Huskers to help local nonprofit orgnaizations with yard work, serving meals to participants, and sorting donations. The event happens from 9 to 11 a.m. August 19, 2022.

Students selected as Huskers CARE Peer Educators will begin required training in September.

Beginning with the fall 2022 semester, undergraduate students at sophomore level and higher can participate in a peer training program, Huskers CARE Peer Educators, to help increase awareness of relationship issues, relationship abuse, stalking and harassment.

Friday, July 15, 2022 Faculty, staff and students sought to serve on University Conduct Board

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is seeking faculty, staff, and students to volunteer as members of the University Conduct Board. Board members receive training and serve on conduct boards for cases as their time permits throughout the year.

The need for mental health support has never been greater on college campuses. This year’s Give to Lincoln Day on May 26 provides an opportunity to help campus programs that support University of Nebraska‒Lincoln students.

Meal Kit Mondays will be offered on June 13 and June 27. Cost is $15 per meal, which each serving four.
