The graduate assistantship program provides unique preparation for students desiring administrative careers in the Student Affairs profession. The program was established in 1994 with the goal of integrating theory and practice in the administration of Student Affairs. It is jointly administered by the Department of Educational Administration and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Outstanding students are recruited from across the country to enroll in a 21-month program with an admissions cohort of 6-8 students. Strong group interactions and frequent dialogue with senior administrators have been hallmarks of the program.
